We have written this policy to be transparent and accurate. Countdown Theme is designed to respect your privacy: it is a local, browser-based experience, and it does not collect personal information for advertising, analytics, or profiling purposes.

2. About Countdown Theme

Countdown Theme is a customizable new-tab countdown experience available on the Microsoft Edge Add-ons store. When installed, it replaces your browser's new tab page with a premium countdown interface that allows you to create and manage countdowns for dates and events, and to personalize your new-tab experience.

The extension is published by Builtify, a professional website development and digital solutions company based in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India. This policy is separate from the BUILTIFY website privacy policy, which covers the builtify.tech website.

3. Permissions Used by Countdown Theme

Countdown Theme requests a small number of permissions. These are declared in the extension's manifest and are used only for the purposes described below:

Storage

The extension uses browser storage to save your countdown settings, preferences, and personalization data locally in your browser. This is what allows your countdowns and theme preferences to persist between sessions so you do not lose your setup when you close and reopen your browser.

Geolocation

The extension requests access to your device's location. Location is used only to provide location-based features within the new-tab experience, such as weather or time information relevant to your area. Location access is never used without your permission, and your location is not stored by Builtify.

4. Data We Collect

Countdown Theme is designed to keep your data on your device. We do not intentionally collect personal information, and the extension does not collect data such as:

• Your phone number
• Passwords or login credentials

• Your browsing history or activity on other websites

The only data the extension processes is the information you choose to create yourself:

• Your data is not uploaded to any Builtify server.

Because this data is stored locally, clearing your browser's site and extension data, using your browser's extension management tools, or uninstalling the extension will remove it from your device.

6. Location Data and Weather

Countdown Theme declares the geolocation permission in its manifest and may request access to your device's approximate location when you enable location-based features in the extension.

Location may be used to provide location-based information within the new-tab experience, such as the current weather or time for your area. Builtify does not store, collect, or transmit your precise location to its own servers.

If you do not want the extension to access your location, you can decline the permission prompt, revoke location access at any time through your browser's extension settings, or disable location-based features inside the extension.

7. Data Transmission

Countdown Theme does not transmit your countdown data, preferences, or personal information to Builtify. The extension operates locally within your browser, and your settings stay on your device.

Any network requests the extension may make — for example, to fetch location-based weather information when you enable that feature — go directly to the relevant service for the content you requested and are subject to that service's own privacy policy. These requests do not include your countdown data or personal information.

8. Data Sharing and Selling

We do not sell, rent, or trade any data related to Countdown Theme. We do not share your countdown data or preferences with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.

Because the extension's data is stored locally on your device, Builtify does not hold a copy of your countdowns or settings to share with anyone.

9. Data Retention

Countdown Theme does not store your data on Builtify's servers, so Builtify does not retain any of your countdown data. Your countdowns and preferences remain in your browser's local storage for as long as you keep the extension installed and do not clear the relevant browser data.

10. Your Control and Choices

You are always in control of the extension and your data:

• Manage countdowns. You can create, edit, or delete any countdown at any time within the extension.
• Change preferences. You can change your theme and personalization settings whenever you like.
• Location. You can grant or revoke location access through your browser's extension settings.
• Clear data. You can remove the extension's stored data at any time through your browser's settings.
• Uninstall. You can remove the extension completely from your browser at any time (see below).

11. Uninstalling the Extension

You can uninstall Countdown Theme at any time through your browser's extension management page (for example, edge://extensions in Microsoft Edge).

When you uninstall the extension, the countdown data and preferences stored in the extension's local storage are removed from your device along with the extension. Your new tab page will return to your browser's default experience.

12. Security

We have built Countdown Theme following browser extension security best practices. The extension uses only the permissions it needs, keeps data locally, and does not use remote code. We take reasonable measures to keep the extension safe, but no software can be guaranteed to be completely secure against every possible threat.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the extension, its functionality, or our practices.
